I’ve read up on Musk’s theory about the simulation. It’s very intriguing, and actually very old. Buddhist ideas about reality parallel Musk and quantum physics pretty closely. Although some physicists are equally certain a simulation of this scope will never be possible. https://cosmosmagazine.com/physics/physicists-find-we-re-not-living-in-a-computer-simulation

The idea is certainly intriguing and does open up a lot of questions. My biggest is, are we living in a sim that is self-destructing? One in which humans entered the scene and, like a virus, took down the entire thing in a few short years? It doesn’t feel like a “game” from where I stand, but if it is, we’re losing — by our own hand.

I hadn’t heard of the research at University of Virginia. I will definitely check that out. Thank you!
