This is so important, and there’s not enough focus on it. I was glad to see the New Yorker article, “Bitter Pill,” which marks the first mainstream attention I can remember on this subject. People who advocate “healing” from major mental illnesses — some of them in the psychiatric field — are largely considered quacks at best, and dangerous at worst. But I hope we’re on a healthier trajectory here, one which leads away from the rule of Big Pharma.
